Theresa & Peter
For every girl her wedding day is one of the most important days of her life. That's why everyone wants every detail to be perfect: a perfect wedding dress, perfect wedding accessories and the perfect wedding scene.
Theresa and Peter were married in a beautiful town house in the scenic highland location of Inverness. This traditional Scottish wedding was an honour to be documenting and be part of. They were both very welcoming and relaxed throughout the entire day, which showed clearly throughout all their photographs.
This is a couple that were destined to be together, and stay together. :)
A selection of images from the wedding can be found in the PORTRAITURE section of this website.

Cosplay Scotland
Cosplay, short for "costume play", is a type of performance art in which participants don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Characters are often drawn from popular fiction in Japan, but recent trends have included American cartoons and Sci-Fi. Favourite sources include manga, anime, tokusatsu, comic books, graphic novels, video games, hentai and fantasy movies. Any entity from the real or virtual world that lends itself to dramatic interpretation may be taken up as a subject. Inanimate objects are given anthropomorphic forms and it is not unusual to see genders switched, with women playing male roles and vice versa.
....thank you wikipedia :)
Mr Drew Photography has recently had the awesome opportunity to meet with the various groups of Cosplay Scotland, specifically the Glasgow team, Edinburgh team & the legendary Dundee team. They collectively meet in different locations dressed in full cosplay attire, which is always very impressive and ideal for some very unusual / eccentric shoots :D
If you have never been to a Cosplay meet up before then I highly recommend you do so!
Even if your not that into dressing up you will meet some of the most geniunely welcoming and awesome individuals.
In the PORTRAITURE section of this website you can now find a COSPLAY area, with a wide variety of familiar characters.
If you wish to get in touch with Cosplay Scotland they now have a facebook page where they arrange all their future activities:
Hazels Creations
These malevolent tree spirits and other characters where designed and realised by Dundee based experimental sculptor and prop designer Hazel Davis. The masks are a small part of Hazel’s expanding range of work and she believes that the exploration of a particular idea is just as important as the finished piece. She likes using recycled materials in her creations and can often be seen around Dundee indulging in a bit of skip raiding looking for inspiration for her next work.
A genius on a mission.
The masks featured in the EVENTS section of this website show the sheer concentrated detail and quality of her unique style. This is only a glimpse of what she has to offer though, for further information on her recent creations or just for general chit chat (shes proper lovely) then you can get a hold of her at: Hazel on the Facebook

Joybells Extravaganza
In 1983, whilst living in Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim in Northern India, Joy started to care for small children whose mothers were having to work as labourers and had no possibility, at that time, of caring for their children themselves. When word spread of the work Joy was doing other destitute women started bringing their babies to Joy. She took these children into her home, fed them, clothed them and began to educate them. This was the beginning of Joybells. Over 20 years Joybells, in Gangtok, grew to become a school for 400 with an orphanage for 50.
In 2000 the decision was made for Joy to leave Gangtok, the remoteness of Sikkim making the everyday running of the school vitually impossible. Land was found near the city of Dehradun in the foothills of the Himalayas and the new Joybells was begun. The first of the new buildings has been opened and is home to over 60 children. Work is reaching completion on two of the main buildings that already provide accommodation for the children but will allow for more staff to be accommodated as well as a new medical wing.
It has always been the case that children of all faiths have been welcomed by Joybells. Eventually there will be a home for about 200 children which will also be their primary school up to the age of 12. For their secondary education the children will go to other schools in the area. The orphanage will be home for the children throughout their schooling. Joy’s aim is to give the children in her care a Christian home and a really outstanding education.
I was honoured when Mr Drew Photography was offered the chance to take photographs at the Joybells Extravaganza fundraising event at the Bharatiya Ashram in Dundee. With so many amazing performers including the Swizzle Sisters, African Drummers, Comedy acts, Indian dance, the Ovarian Cysters, Tabla, Sitar, Choir singing and much more, it truly was an outstanding event. This was all polished off with a three course fine dining experience, an auction event and a joyous atmosphere from all that attended.
** UPDATE **
£3,200 was raised from the fundraising event, which will pay for four cows to provide milk for the children of Joybells school.

Urban Chillax
"Created through the coming together vision of Pure Media UK and the amazing energy and knowhow of Paul and Pauline Joseph (Urbanik Productions), URBAN CHILLAX is unlike most dance competitions around.
There is no set Rule-of-Style, so you may see a street-jazz routine competing against some hard-core break-dancers, or poppin’ against krumpin’! Basically any genre of dance with an urban flava is welcome. What you will definitely find is a new way of enjoying competitive dance. The competition has an open and friendly vibe: if you are into dance then this is a wonderful day out!"
- Urban Chillax Website
Thanks to Emma White & Pure Media UK Mr Drew Photography for the 2nd year running has had the chance to get some incredible images of various street dance routines and badass breakdancing moves. The day ended with a stage filled with different styles in a full force dance off, truely legendary!

Project X-Dress
<
Project X Dress & the He She Mix up was part of an end of year graded unit. The theme that was selected for this project was the theme of opposites, in which essential conditions of a subject, scenario, or object were to be gauged at radically different extremes depending on their common traits. Project XDress toyed with this idea and explored the social bias behind gender role reversal in cross dressing.
As you may have seen from the images the project turned out to be very successful, with quite comical results. A huge thanks goes out to all the models that took part. You put up with a lot of pampering and costume design and played each of your X Dress roles perfectly.
Although, some of the guys enjoyed dressing up all lady like a bit too much me thinks....
Check out the links below for a wee giggle, lol :D

The blizzard conditions provided a unique setting for some very dramatic images, including those of frozen ice harbours and fresh snow white landscapes. Im glad to say the harsh conditions didnt affect the mood of the Scottish team or the local exchange students. Various images can be found throughout the TRAVEL section of this website, enjoy! :D
